LearnBoard connects to your LMS database read-only and queries it to draw dashboards. A validator rejects any statement that is not SELECT, WITH, SHOW, DESCRIBE or EXPLAIN, so it cannot write to, alter or delete anything in your LMS.

In your LMS, where it already was. LearnBoard does not take a copy of your database. It caches aggregated figures so dashboards load from cache rather than re-querying live, and those aggregates are held per organisation in a separate space.

Only the people you give a role to. Access is controlled by role-based permissions over a permission registry, every sign-in passes a human check and rate limiting, and the separation between organisations is enforced server-side rather than by a filter in the interface.

Questions are answered against your connected data under the permissions of the person asking. AI provider keys are held on the LearnBoard server and never reach a browser. On Scale and Enterprise you may supply your own OpenAI or Anthropic keys.

Your LMS server and LearnBoard talk to each other directly, with a shared key no browser ever sees. Each page load issues a short-lived, read-only pass limited to your organisation. With sign-in mapping on, people are recognised from their Moodle sign-in the first time they arrive, and no password is ever created or copied.

Audit log entries are retained for 730 days by default. Database backups are taken daily. Ask us if you need a specific retention arrangement.

LearnBoard runs on managed infrastructure, and self-hosting, for government and Enterprise, keeps everything on your own servers. Ask us and we will confirm exactly where yours sits.

This website, learnoow.com, uses Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, the Meta pixel and the LinkedIn Insight tag. They set cookies and record how the site is used: pages opened, where a visitor came from, and session replays of clicks and scrolling with typed text masked. They run for every visitor from the first page; the notice at the foot of the page tells you so, and its buttons close it. They do not run inside the LearnBoard product, and nothing from your LMS is ever sent to them.

To opt out, block third-party cookies in your browser or use the opt-out tools those providers publish, and the site still works in full.
